Saying we are pleased with how the writing process has been going is an understatement. There are a lot of new songs and new ideas floating around the house right now. 2010 is feeling like it could be a great year for innerpartysystem. Hopefully, in the oncoming weeks, we can get a little teaser together to share with everyone.
In the meantime, we have been invading Legend's of Reading, every Wednesday night. Last week we played two new tracks, as well as some mash-ups of a few of our older tunes, along with a lot of songs we love to hear loud. This Wednesday I do believe Kris and maybe Jesse will be there with some more jams for everyone to hear. We are going to try and make this a regular thing, so if you are into everything as much as we are, come out and have a little fun with a non-genre specific night of tunes. The drinks are cheap, the music is loud, and at some point in the night I can assure you someone will do something pretty ridiculous. I swear. I was there two weeks ago and some dude around 50 years old was singing "Fight For Your Right To Party" in nothing but briefs. When the guitar solo came, you could tell he was hard up for something to do for the 18 second intermission, so he rolled around on the floor. The best part was, no one was even paying that much attention. At this place, that is totally rational behavior.
JAM OF THE WEEK
JAM I'VE MISSED (circa 2005-2006) This is a mash up Diplo did a while back that i LOVED back in the day. TV on the Radio's "Staring at the Sun" along with a verse from Afrika Bambaataa
Wow the Netsky song is great! And it think the Bon Iver song could make for a great innerpartysystem remix. I totally love the taste of music innerpartysystem and everyone on this forum has.
i know this sounds stupid, but any chance you'd have merch at legends? or at least in the parking lot so they don't take a cut? hah. need that hoodie, son.
